I have written sometime last year on this blog that I liked a song called Falling Slowly from the movie Once. Inspired by this and because I just saw a clip of Yong Hwa (CN Blue) and Seo Hyun (SNSD) perform it on We Got Married, I decided to feature the different covers of this song done by Kpop idols…
Yes, this song has been sung a lot of times and I think it’s very popular in Korea.. But though a lot of K-artists have been doing their version of the song, I’m still not tired of hearing it! I get all giddy when I hear the first few chords of the song.

We got married is one of the shows that I am an avid fan of (I still try my best to be updated with the episodes as much as I can — though no more Hyun Joong but Kangin is there :D). One of my favorite couples is the Ansol couple (Andy and Solbi). Though they left in the 28th episode, I still miss them!
It was through that show that I learned about Solbi and the group she was a part of before, Typhoon. I really loved Typhoons songs, especially when Solbi is singing them (not that I don’t like their new singer, it’s just that Solbi’s voice wonderful). However, Solbi went solo. After leaving Typhoon, Solbi had some solo songs already and I think she had a collaboration with Shinji.
Since I like her, I sometimes check the internet for news about her. I was also amazed at how good she looked now. I didn’t even recognize her in last week’s (or was it the other week) Star King (she guested with Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Leeteuk). She’s gotten prettier!
I was glad to have found out that she recently made a comeback on Mnet countdown with a ballad song. I’m not sure what the title of the song is but if I’m not mistaken its Will be Punished (but just in case this is the Hangul – 벌 받을 거야 – if you know the title leave a comment please). It’s nice to hear her sing again.. and I can’t wait for the music video!. But for now I’m posting the live performance…
I am a We Got Married addict. I’m not sure how many times I’ve mentioned that on this blog. I’ve recommended it to some of my friends and they too have been addicted to it.
The song that I am posting is one of the songs from that variety show. For one who has seen the show I’m sure you are quite familiar with the song as it usually is played as the ending theme for the show — especially in the first episodes of the show and during Alex and Shinae moments. The song was sung by Kim Jong Wook and is called Only You (Geudae Mani). The song’s MV also features Jo Yeo-jeong who was one of the celebreties who was in the show (she was in ep 9 – 17 with Lee Hwi Jae). I have to say, Koreans are really good making good scripts and plots — you probably have noticed it in their dramas, movies and even music videos. Oh and by the way this is not a sad song! yay!

I’ve been addicted to We Got Married for sometime now (though I’m not done watching the 41 episodes that’s been posted on mysoju — I’m still on the 31st episode). One of my favorite couples is of course the “lettuce” couple (a.k.a joongbo couple) — all because of Kim Hyun Joong — and I have to admit its was because of him that I watched this show.
In one of the many episodes, particularly the 26th episode, Hyun Joong serenaded Hwang Bo because it was her birthday. The song he sang sounded very familiar, but I can’t seem to place where I heard the song. So I googled it and it is in fact, to me a very familiar song… because it won an Academy Award last 2006 as the Best Song. The song that I am talking about is Falling Slowly, which was the original music for a movie called Once. I love the lyrics and the melody of the song and the fact that it won an Oscars!
The song I’m posting isn’t anything Asian but I loved this song eversince I heard it some 2 years ago. It was my cousin who introduced me to the song. I almost forgot about it, until the time I heard Hyun Joong sing it. And now I have to stop my blabber and share the song with you :D.

I’m currently sharing a blog with 4 other friends who are self confessed Asian addicts like me. One of my friends, innocent 色男, posted Hwayobi’s comeback song on the site. Thus, I decided to post it here as well (more like copy it! ahahaha).
The song I’m posting is her comeback song Half. I was not really familiar who Hwayobi is until she was paired up with Hwanhee (of Fly to the Sky) in We Got Married. Since both of them were singers, they sang Endless Love on the first night they met. I have to say that was one of the best renditions I’ve heard of the song. And from that time on I started to love that couple — also because my favorite couple (Andy and Solby) did an exit on the 28th episode.
This MV of this song by the way is being banned in Korea due to some scenes. There are lots of MV’s that have been banned there like Seung Ri’s Strong Baby and Mirotic (which they changed the lyrics to “under my sky” — instead of “under my skin”).

If you watched We Got Married, I’m sure you’re familiar with the ALSHIN couple (Alex of Clazziquai and the very pretty actress Shin Ae). I’m not sure what episode it was but there was an episode where Alex was playing a song ang he kept on repeating the line “bbobbohago shipso” or i want to kiss you. The song that was playing is called Namjok kkeurseom (Southend Island) by Hachi and TJ. The song has a Hawaiian reggae feel to it, and I’m a sucker of hawaiian music (that was my addiction before the asian bug bit me). I found some videos on youtube one is an MV made for the AlShin couple and another one for the AnSol couple. Also found a video where Alex sung his version of the song in a show called Love Letter (i just love his voice).

I’m currently catching up on the episodes of We got Married. I just got addicted to this variety show so I am a little late. I’m still at the 18th episode, and its a long way to go.
The song I’m posting now is related to the Alex and Shinae couple. I like this couple however they’re too perfect :D. But I love how sweet Alex is. I actually like them because of Alex…ahahahah. I was addicted to his voice eversince I first heard She Is by Clazziquai. For those who are unfamiliar of the group, they were a trio who made, in my opinion, very good music – specializing on jazz, pop and electronica. Their popularity skyrocketed when they sang 2 songs from the soundtrack of My Name is Kim Sam Soon (the first song was She Is and the second one is Be My Love).
The song I’m posting now was sung by Alex in the 8th episode of We Got Married. It was actually his parting song with Shinae since they had to part for awhile because Alex had to concentrate on making his first solo album, My Vintage Romance (I love this album!). When I heard him sing this song, it sounded really familiar to me. And yes, it really was familiar because its one of the tracks from the soundtrack of Coffee Prince. The song is called Hwabun (also Hwaboon in some romanization) and it was originally done by Loveholic. I’m posting booth versions on this post. Another Korean show that I am currently watching is We Got Married. Its a somewhat like a reality/variety show where two celebrities pretend to be married couples. A friend of mine recommended I watch it, but I never got to it as I was watching other dramas. But now I am, but I have to admit the reason why I’m watching it is so to see Kim Hyun Joong :D.
I just started watching it this week and I’m currently (as of this moment) in the 8th episode (a lot more to go!!!). In this episode, there was a part where Alex and his “wife” Shin Ae did a duet. The song they did is called Romeo N Juliet and its one of the tracks from Clazziquai’s (which Alex is member of) album Love Project of the Century. This is my favorite track from this album so I am going to share it.
