I was just doing some random visits to my favorite asianstuff websites when I came across a news about Arashi’s songs being palyed by an orchestra. I got all excited when I saw the news! – because Arashi is my all time favorite Japanese group!
The songs have been played and made into a medley by Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra (TKWO, 東京佼成ウインドオーケストラ) . The orchestra is, from what I read quite popular not only in Japan but in the world and they have been etablished sometime in 1960.
There is no real video yet, but the one I’m posting here is the mp3 of the medley. It sounds really really nice! I don’t know about you guys but I think I really like Arashi songs and I think having their songs played by a very good orchestra means that their songs are quite popular.

I haven’t posted lyrics for a long time.. I noticed most my posts are about news of several artists as well as performances. I suddenky had the urge of posting lyrics when I heard Arashi’s Kitto Daijoubu playing.
Recently, my addiction to anything Asian is more or less biased to anything Korean. But before my K-entertainment addiction.. I was addicted to everything and anything Japanese. Long before my addiction to DBSK or Super Junior.. I was going crazy over ARASHI! Blame it on my addiction to Jun Matsumoto and Hanadan.
Kitto Daijoubu is one of my favorite Arashi songs. It’s a very perky song and it gets stuck on your head easily! ahahaha.. This song is a bit old, I think this was released May 2006. But I love this song and I remember listening to this song if I want to keep my spirits up.. The PV is also a very happy one.

I’ve posted awhile back that Jun Matsumoto will be having a new drama. I almost forgot about it until sittie reminded me! Apparently this show has started airing in Japan on TBS at 10 PM on Fridays (I think you can get TBS on TVants… )
There is already videos for the episode 1 on konoban.com however its still the raw vid. I’m still waiting for the subbed videos. This is the synopsis of the drama:
Hayakawa Bito (Jun Matsumoto) has a Filipino father and a Japanese mother, but he was born and raised in Japan and has never visited the Philippines. The ever-smiling Bito works at Machimura Foods during the day, and at night, he works a part-time job trying to make his dreams come true. One day during an incident at a bookstore, he meets a girl named Mishima Hana (Aragaki Yui), who lost her ability to speak due to an accident. But even though she can’t speak, Bito is drawn to her beautiful smile. However, Bito becomes wrongly suspected by the police for a crime, and after meeting the lawyer Kazuma, the issue begins to grow… Together, Bito, Hana, and Kazuma will go through challenging times and have to overcome many obstacles. I miss my Japanese songs!!! Ahahaha.. Lately I’ve been listening to Korean songs. But before that I had an addiction to anything Japanese – especially ARASHI! So that’s why I’m posting a Japanese song this time. But it is NOT an Arashi song. It is however related to one of the Arashi members – Jun Matsumoto.
The song I am posting now is the from the original soundtrack of the Hana Yori Dango Final movie and it’s sung by Aiko. The song is called KissHug. For someone who watched the movie you would notice that this song was played after Makino fought the bear on the deserted island (I don’t know why a bear was in that island — and it’s a bear because Makino said “kuma” which means bear in Japanese). I’m posting this song because I love Aiko’s voice — I’m not even sure why, and because I needed to post a Japanese song!!! But anyway enjoy — and if you’re a Hana Yori Dango fan (like I am), watch the movie. Also check out SARS fan subs to get you’re own copy, they released their sub version late last year.

I think Jun Matsumoto’s last drama was Bambino (if I’m not mistaken). But now he is going to star in a new drama alongside Yui Aragaki (the girl from Koizora, the movie version). It’s going to be entitled Smile.
Jun Matsumoto plays a half-Filipino whose father has died and mother has disappeared. Despite his misfortune and the issues he deals with, such as race, he lives his life positively with a constant smile.
Similarly, Gakky plays a young woman living cheerfully despite losing her ability to speak due to an accident. Her character is said to be modeled after a real actress in the theatrical troupe that Takuma runs.
“Smile” will air on Friday nights at 10:00pm, starting in April.
