Sticky Note Wish (Tagalog Translation)

There were some who requested for the Tagalog translation of Sticky Note Wish, the last song from the Fated to Love You drama. Honestly the Filipino language is not my strongest point — so I was hesitant to translate it. Thankfully, I met someone who is pretty good with Tagalog. The entire translation was being made by babyunfixhart. If you use this somewhere else please do credit her. Will also be updating the Sticky Note Wish Entry :D.

Sticky Note Wish – Shorty Yuan & Quack Wu

My favorite song from the Fated to Love You soundtrack is the ending song of the drama. Its called Sticky Note Wish (Xin Yuan Bian Li Tie) and is sung by Shorty Yuan (Yuan Ruo Lan) and Quack Wu (Wu Zhong Ming). I love then tone of this song. It reminds you of princesses and fairy tales and happy endings. I hope you like the song.

Oh and by the way it was a little difficult to find an MV for this song. But thanks to ping0411, I got to post a video (yay!).

UPDATE!!! – A friend of mine helped me translation (since Tagalos is not my strongest point). Please do not use the translation without permission (just leave a comment on my blog) and crediting babyunfixhart.

Sticky Note Wish (Translation)

Day by day I come closer to your heart
When you’re happy I care
Every bits and pieces I can sense them
You are my most beautiful belief

Can’t wait for Gemini
or the meteor rain to shower the entire sky
Then let’s light up 9 sparklers instead for now

The most brilliant thing doesn’t have to be
having a lot of diamonds or money
Looking in your eyes
I can see the shadow of happiness

Take your hatefulness
and use express mail to send it to the ends of the world
The most ordinary and foolish thing
can become a classic when you put your heart into it
A sticky note
full of wishes stick to your heart
Collect all the touching moments and remember them later on

Day by day I come closer to your heart
Every bits and pieces I can sense them
You are my most beautiful belief

99 Times I Love Him – Shorty Yuan

Awhile back I posted an entry about Fated to Love You. Since this is one of my favorite Taiwanese drama, I decided to post the OST of the drama. The first song I am posting is the opening theme of the drama. Its called 99 Times I love Him (99 Ci Wo Ai Ta) sung by Shorty Yuan (Yuan Ruo Lan). Everytime I hear this song I am always reminded of the drama. Enjoy!

If you watch the video, please wait until the first 30 seconds is over to hear the song :D. Credits to mandyenen for posting this video (its a little difficult to find a nice MV for this song).

99 Times I Love Him (Translation)

The essential oil from Bulgarian rose
is poured on my hand that he just held
Recklessly rush ahead, my heart is like a dodgeball
Who understands how long love stays in the hand

Knowledge, reasons are in the textbooks
Where do I go pray for good fortune in love
If there is a professor for it, I will definitely study hard
Cupid, hurry and cheer for me

So want to bring a radar into his dream to investigate carefully
Is there an extra card for love
Also want to get a broom to his heart to clean up
Those fleeting thoughts, yayiyayi, clean them up

99 times I love him, the eye flutters if it’s less
Want him to intuitively know my thoughts
Say his name everyday, yayiyayi, never miss a word

99 times I love him, the hair has split ends if it’s less
Want him to think of me like clock work
Love is like an ice cream melting in the mouth

Recommended Drama – Fated to Love You

Before my friend left for China to be a language student, she left me a copy of a Taiwanese drama that she was watching. The drama was called Fated to Love You. During that time I had a lot of catching up to do with the dramas my friends were watching because back then I was so busy with work. I was still watching They Kiss Again at that time. I finally had the chance to watch this drama last October (about a month after my friend left for China) — and surprise suprise i loved it (obviously as I would not be recommending it if I did not like it :D).

The drama tells about the story of a sticky note girl and how she found (and eventually ended up) with the man of her dreams — and  all that was thanks to FATE.

fated-to-love-you

Synopsis

A really unfashionable working class girl Chen Xin Yi has the desire to tie down her handsome boyfriend to be with her. Due to certain reasons, her boyfriend gets her to go on a love cruise and she started to ponder on how to lose her virginity and tie down her boyfriend. Xin Yi ended up taking cold medicine which made her drowsy and went into Ji Cun Xi’s room. Cun Xi is the sole male heir to his family’s company and has been in love with his girlfriend, Anna, for a long time. He planned to propose to Anna on the boat but she didn’t turn up on the cruise. An island owner added drugs into Cun Xi’s drink and Cun Xi became disorientated and returned to his own room. Xin Yi and Cun Xi end up having a one night stand. Xin Yi later finds out that she’s pregnant and Cun Xi’s grandmother forces them to get married. Will a couple forced to marry for the sake of their unborn child find love with each other?

The drama starred Chen Qiao En (Joe Chen) as the sticky note girl Xin Yi (who later became known as Elaine) and Ethan Ruan (Ruan Xiao Tian) as the Cun Xi.  It also starred Baron Chen as Dylan and Bianca Bai as Anna.

Why I loved this drama (warning: spoiler alert)?

I loved this drama because it had a common story — a common story that a common person understands or can relate to. But the common story had twists that adds spice to the story. I also liked the lines that they had (although I could understand it through english subtitles). I especially liked the “words of wisdom” Xin Yi’s mom would tell. Although in the beginning of the drama, you will see that Xin Yi is the daughter who receives the least attention among her sisters, as the story will progress you will know that Xin Yi’s mom is most concerned about her youngest daughter. The series is also a very light one — there were parts that would make you want to cry, but there were also parts that would make you laugh until your stomach would ache. I especially love the part when Cun Xi would be beaten up by Xin Yi mom — the reaction is priceless! The whole story is a balance of comedy and drama.

The proposal (which you will see on ep. 23) is also one of the most romantic ones I’ve seen in the drama. I liked the idea of how they incorporated the sticky note into the proposal — I LOVE U – Z (*_*). The drama’s soundtrack is also one of the best taiwanese soundtracks I’ve heard. I loved the songs and the songs really would fit the scene where they were being played. My heart would ache everytime I hear Jin Xiu Duet’s My Happiness (Wo Do Kuai Le). I also liked the ending theme of drama (Sticky Note Wish).

This is one of those dramas that you have to see – a must see! If you don’t believe me then check out mysoju.com and see that this drama is currently on the number one list of the all time most watched dramas on their site (and I would like to especially thank RandomFS for subbing the drama :D). And if its not enough, this particular drama is currently holding the crown for the drama with the highest rating in Taiwan, having a peak rating of 10.91 during the airing of the 20th episode. And this is the highest rating a drama had in Taiwan. Because of the high ratings Ethan Ruan had to swim NAKED!

So to watch the drama go to mysoju.com.
