Good Doctor ON ABC

Hi I’m Mikay! I’m new to this blogging thing.
This is my first post so bear with me. 🙂

I’m a huge fan of Joo Won – since 2013. That’s when I saw the 2nd episode of Good Doctor.

For those of you who don’t know the drama – its about Park Shi-on (Joo Won), a resident doctor with autism who specializes in Pediatric Surgery. He has the amazing ability of 3D visualizations of a Human anatomy thus making him quite special.

I’m not biased (I totally am :P) but Joo Won is a really great actor. I didn’t like him in Baker King but I have appreciated him in this drama. He really gave justice to the character. I mean having taken the role of an autistic person would be harder than any other role – the mannerisms, the actions – he totally nailed it!

I am in awe with the writers and the production team of this drama. They’ve made such a beautiful drama that I haven’t seen in a long time. Watching one episode makes you long for the next one. I like that the drama does not only focus on the character’s misfortunes and success as an autistic doctor. But it also let’s us peek inside the lives of doctors – it makes us understand them more – the struggles, the comedy, the fun.

Park Shi on (Joo Won) as Peter Pan  (gwiyeopda!!!) 😉 😉

That headband though ^_^

aigoo! aigoo! 😎

Omo! Omo! Then  I heard that ABC will remake GOOD DOCTOR in America which will release its pilot episode this September 25, 2017.

I am very much excited for the remake because I miss Good Doctor.
And it’s going to star Freddie Highmore – I say no more
I even am planning to watch Good Doctor over the weekend again. (It’s not really Asian – but I’m excited!)

I do have my  doubts for the remake cause American productions tends to make changes. Case in point: Sassy Girl and The Lake House.
Anyone agree with me?

I’m still hoping they will give the  same impact as what Joo Won’s Good Doctor has given to me.

Good Doctor will always have a part in my heart.

To all the readers,

I highly recommend you to watch Good Doctor(Korean). Even my mom got really attached to this drama. You’ll have mixed emotions watching this. It was funny at the same time romance and you’ll learn more about medical field. And don’t forget to prepare tissues as there will be parts where you might get teary-eyed

See you in my next blog 😀

  1. i watched good doctor the k drama version one and i am not sure about the US remake as it tends to have more than one season so I don’t want to ruin the good story of the K drama. But do let me know how US one is.

    1. I’ve seen like 2 episodes from the US remake. The similarity I think lies in the main character – Park Shi-on’s character. However there is a difference in the plot. The US remake reminds me of too much of a combination of House and Grey’s Anatomy – it’s definitely different from the kdrama that we know and love. I decided to drop watching the US version because I didn’t want to ruin impression the Korean version had with me! (“,)
