둘이 아닌가봐 (They Didn’t Work) – Standing Egg ft. Christina Love Lee

I have been listening to other Kpop artists other than idol groups lately. It’s not that I don’t like idol groups anymore, but you when you get to a point when you’re hearing the same kind of music and you’re getting a little bored listening to it. I know this might just be a phase, but I have to have something different else I might end up not liking it anymore.

One of the artists I have been listening to quite a lot is Standing Egg. I fell in love with their music when I heard them play “Have You Ever Been In Love”. And the rest is history.

They have just released a single called 둘이 아닌가봐 (They Didn’t Work) featuring Christina Love Lee (who you might have recognized from Super Star K 3).

After hearing a few seconds of the song.. I immediately fell head over heels for it! It’s a song I would love to hear when I am chilling out in a coffee shop and reading a book. I love it! I love that some Korean artists are experimenting with the bossanova music genre.

I will not lie, I like this because of the bossanova feel. But I also like it because their voices fit the tune of the song. Its a very light melody that makes you feel wonderful and happy after listening to it. I absolutely have no idea what the song means, though with my limited Korean, the title says They Didn’t Work (though literally it Two Didn’t Work)..
