Because I was a little busy, this blog has not been updated… until today that is 😀
I was snooping around the internet and browsing through asian websites when I read a news that made my day — but later made me a little sad.
K-popped has posted on their website that MBC is partnering with crunchyroll!!! This news made my day..
MBC is one of the biggest Korean TV networks where famous Kdramas are shown. MBC or Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation is the TV station that broadcasted popular dramas like Coffee Prince, My Name is Kim Sam Soon, Jumong and my favorite Goong (Princess Hours).
According to the article, in the pipelines are more than 30 complete MBC Korean drama series. The first drama is scheduled to begin streaming in the week of March 16, 2009. — When I checked Coffee Prince was up already…
As I was so excited about the news I immediately logged in to crunchy… hoping that the videos will also be available in my region! But alas, as I clicked the videos.. the dreaded: “Sorry this video is not available in your region” appeared. Ugggh… this news made my day but made me frustrated at the same time..
To clarify this news, apparently according to shinji, “All shows are English subtitled and available to everyone in the US (including its terrorities), Canada, and Mexico, in LQ, HQ, and H264 qualities. (Sorry, we’re working on getting it for other regions — this regional restriction stuff sucks, I know :()”
I hope they do something about the regional stuff so we can watch too! 😀
